Texas State Veterans Cemeteries

The mission of the Texas State Veterans Cemeteries is to serve eligible Veterans and their families by providing high-quality support for committal services and perpetual care of the grounds and facilities for all who served our nation with distinction.

Texas State Veterans Cemeteries are special resting places, close to home, where friends, family and fellow Texans can honor Texas Veterans. The sacrifices they laid upon the altar of freedom will never be diminished or forgotten.

The staff at our Texas State Veterans Cemeteries are there to help each Texas Veteran and their family at their time of need.

Texas State Veterans Cemeteries are built through a partnership between the state of Texas and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and are managed by the Texas Veterans Land Board. They complement the six national cemeteries in Dallas-Ft. Worth, El Paso, Houston, Kerrville and San Antonio (2). Burial benefits at Texas State Veterans Cemeteries are identical to those for VA National Cemeteries.

This was daddy's first veteran's day in heaven and I Just want to say how beautiful everything was at daddy's final resting place this veteran's day (and every day in between) I want to thank each and every person who helps maintain these beautiful grounds. There's a lot of firsts for me and my family and each first is harder than the last, but this veteran's day was truly beautiful with the help of your cemetery grounds keepers, organizer staff etc. So from myself and my family, thank you! I am enclosing a few photos I captured.
