The Voices of Veterans Oral History Program seeks to record the stories of Texas Veterans for the Veteran and their families and to archive them for researchers, historians, genealogists and the general public.

In 1946 the Texas Veterans Land Board (VLB) was established to administer benefits exclusively for Texas Veterans. Since then, the VLB has funded more than 200,000 loans for Veterans and Military Members in Texas. The VLB is proud to serve those who have served our country.

    Texas State Veterans Home in Houston Accepting Admissions Applications

    The Richard A. Anderson Texas State Veterans Home in Houston is now accepting admission applications. This long-term care home was built specifically to offer affordable, skilled nursing care for qualified Veterans, spouses and Gold Star Parents. Opening in the fall of 2019, this beautiful new Texas State Veterans Home has 120 beds, of which 30 are designated to memory care.
